1. Know what you want, what you really really want.
(Okay. Simple wisdom on this one. If you don’t want it, I guess you won’t do anything to get it. And of course, you should know really what is that thing that you want. If you don’t know what you want, what’s the point of pursuing something for nothing?)
2. Know if the things that you want will make you really happy.
(There are a lot of things in this world that we want so desperately. And there are also some things that we are wanting because of not so good motives. Some things make us happy when we already have it, but then again, sometimes, the thing that we’ve been asking for a long time is not enough, and we people because of our human nature, would ask for more. That thing onyou r mind right now, will that make you feel blessed and satisfied, or you’ll crave for more?)
3. Ask yourself if you deserve those things.
(Okay, those things that maybe you’ve listed already, you now think those can give you happiness. But, are you deserving of those things? If that is a material thing, are you responsible enough to have that? If that is a relationship, are you matured enough to handle such a vulnerable heart?)
4. Be aware of others’ feelings or thoughts, because maybe you’re hurting somebody already by just merely wanting something. (How much more if you’ll do everything to get it?.)
(There are things in this world that we are wanting because of the benefits that these things are offering. Some things are available and are just waiting for us, but some are not available because there’s somebody out there who took it already. if that is the case, will you ask that person for that thing, for the sake of the chance thing? There are people in this world who are not that vocal or expressive, are you one of them? Or you’re one of those people who are frank enough to shout that they want “it”?)
5. Think again if you can get by hurting somebody.
(Okay, you really do want it. There are things in this world that we can’t have, yet. Maybe a in a little while, or maybe, never. But, if you really want it, I believe you can come up with some plans on how to get it, with force. =))
6. Ask yourself if that thing that you’re wanting will make you a better person.
(We are wanting things for our own satisfaction, for our own good, for our own happiness. But, will it help you become a better person? If your answer in #5 is YES, well, think again if right now, you’ve become a better person. I’m not saying that you’ll be transformed in just a second there, what I’m telling you is for a moment there,try thinking for the benefit of other people around you.)
7. Ask yourself the 6th one (again) and answer this: How?
(You can easily do the #6, all you have to do is think, but this time, ask yourself how to do that, and are you willing to do it?)
8. Make up your mind.
(Well, if you really want that, make up your mind. If you’ve hurt a person already, would you give it up, or you’ll pursue it?)
9. Ask God, pray for it.
(Do I have to explain it further?! Without God, I don’t think you can have the things on your list right now, especially now that you’ve been thinking about those a lot more often than praying to God.)
10. Claim it.
(What you confess, you possess.)
